Best Friends?

Image
Best Friends? Do they actually exist, someone who is always there for you and never leaves? Well, I know how it is to loose a best friend. I'm guessing a lot of you have had the same experience. This happened to me very recently and I wanted to share some of my struggles and victories with y'all! My friend was a funny, loving, and super cool person. We had been BFF's for like 5 years. But all of a sudden one day I noticed we seemed distant from each other. I didn't feel like I could be myself around her anymore. I had recently during covid19 switched church's and I left the one she went to. I barely saw her very much, but I still thought of her as a best friend. I finally started seeing her more often and I noticed her and this other girl and her were like the "new thing". I was determined to win her back. I tried. I failed. I hadn't noticed how much I had changed, how much she had changed. We really didn't click anymore. So I decided I needed to ...

Comfort the Hurting

Image
You are going to have those times in you life when someone close to you gets hurt emotionally or physically. It could be a friend break up with a boyfriend, someone has a miscarriage, loss of a loved one etc. I've had multiple of these happen to people I know, and sometimes I just don't know what to say, act, or do. But I found some great things that help me to comfort people in a great, loving, and caring way. Listening. Yep, that is hard a lot of times. You want to tell them what they did wrong or someone else did wrong, or just give them some plain old advice. Well advice and correction come in time. First you listen. Listening can be one of the best ways to support your hurting friend. Just to be their, sit with them, listen to them, and comfort them. Identify with them. Sometimes you think that, wow, Kathy is like crying about that stupid boyfriend she had and he was like a jerk and a bum. Well, that's a bit harsh. You need to imagine yourself in their shoes. They ha...

My Testimony

Image
I was baptized at age 7 and I really believed that I wanted God in my life. But I don't think that I actually knew what giving my all was. I sadly drifted from God when I was older. From age 10-around 12 I found myself caught in a horrible sin. I was looking at pornography and I knew it was wrong, and I didn't care. My heart felt so heavy and dark. Like literally dark. I hated how I felt. But if I told anyone I knew I was going to be so in trouble. The first time I looked at it my parents found out. My mom talked to me and I really was sad and wanted to change. I repented and went back on with life. My mom was so gentle with what I had done. And I was really surprised. But I'm not sure how much longer it was but I started looking at it again. This time I told my parents, and I repented. After that time in my life I started noticing what a sinful life I was living. I told my parents, siblings, friends, the bad big and little things I had done wrong. I was truly c...

The End Is Near

Image
Death, persecution, agony. Yep all those things are coming to our world. Some already have to a certain extent. Our world is going down and quickly not to mention. We all need to be prepared for all those things and more. I normally forget about this and just continue living my life. On Sunday. My pastor preached on us needing to prepare ourselves for the coming persecution.  It really opened my eyes that I need to spiritually ground myself in God so I won't be swayed when the testing of my faith comes. This is talked about in Luke 21:11-19:   There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.   “But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.     And so you will bear testimony to me.  But make up your mind not to worry ...

No Past All Future

Image
Guys, have you ever felt like something has happened in your life that will ruin it forever? Here is a verse that might help: “God  can  bring peace to  your past , purpose to  your  present, and hope to  your future .” John 14:27 That seems to be something that really effects me as a person. It is one of those lies that crept into my life when I didnt even see it. I did a Bible study called Lies That Young Women Believe. It helped me identify the lies I was believing. The best thing to do when you identify a lie in you life is to find Bible verses that bring the truth in. Then memorize it, stick it in places you will see it. Because those lies will try to come and bring you down again. But if you have God's word hidden in your heart, the devil can't break you down.  Let me close with this Bible verse: "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32

My Ballet Life🩰

Image
I'm a dancer by heart and always have. But ya, I don't want to wear what everybody wears in a regular dance class. I think it is slightly immodest (no offense to anyone in the dance classes) depending on the dance academy you are in. I wasn't aloud to attend a dance academy. I had to learn online and through a homeschool group. I first found out I was interested at age 13, yes, I know really old to start ballet! But I loved it, and it helped me let go of emotions as I danced for Jesus. I had a few classes at my homeschool group but it was shut down because we all know, yep you guessed it the Covid 19 pandemic. I practiced at home with my sister who was also interested. She was so much more naturally flexible than me and it put me down. But I kept pressing. Finally another semester of our homeschool group started up and I had classes and we did a performance at the end of the semester with some other girls.  I have since then been practicing at home. It is supe...
