Pros And Cons of Homeschooling

Image
Homeschooling is great in many ways. But there are also some things I'm too fond about. I don't want to make homeschooling sound bad so I'll put the Pros in not just the Cons. I think one of the biggest pros is that you can be kept away from a lot of the trash that will be stuck into your mind at such a young age when you are public schooled or even Christian schooled. I just am almost positive that I would be such a more insecure person if I was in rolled in a school. So many kids in the schooling system are so insecure in who they are and they hate their bodies. One thing I don't like about homeschooling is that I'm home like a lot! Home is supposed to be a place that is a wonderful place to be. But when you are home all the time you want to get away more often. Another thing that hinders getting away from home is that my parents do adult foster care. So I don't get out a lot. We can't just leave a resident at home to fend for themselves. We mu...

We Are Not Socially Challenged

Image
Why do people think home schoolers are dumb!? Is it because they think that we are always home with no other piers to hang out with? And they think we are socially awkward? We'll this isn't true. I hang out with a lot of other kids my age. And I have a wonderful homeschool co-op to go to! I have friends, I'm not socially challenged. I have the same feelings as any other high schoolers my age.  I have met some homeschoolers who ya might be slightly more challenged than me. But HEY, they are humans just like us and we ought to treat them that way. Sometimes the most awkward people can end up being the best friends you'll ever have. I've been home schooled since day one. I have insecurities that bite me when I'm with public schoolers. I'm always asking myself will they think I'm shy awkward or maybe even ugly. OK, stop their.  God made you just as you are and just be you and stop trying to be someone you aren't. Trust me I've tried it, a...

My Ballet Life🩰

Image
I'm a dancer by heart and always have. But ya, I don't want to wear what everybody wears in a regular dance class. I think it is slightly immodest (no offense to anyone in the dance classes) depending on the dance academy you are in. I wasn't aloud to attend a dance academy. I had to learn online and through a homeschool group. I first found out I was interested at age 13, yes, I know really old to start ballet! But I loved it, and it helped me let go of emotions as I danced for Jesus. I had a few classes at my homeschool group but it was shut down because we all know, yep you guessed it the Covid 19 pandemic. I practiced at home with my sister who was also interested. She was so much more naturally flexible than me and it put me down. But I kept pressing. Finally another semester of our homeschool group started up and I had classes and we did a performance at the end of the semester with some other girls.  I have since then been practicing at home. It is supe...
